Ooh, you little rebel- I like you...

Okay, so here's where we start, I suppose.

I'm a complete luddite when it comes to the interwebs, so if something doesn't work please tell me and I'll try to fix it, however unlikely that outcome is!

Now, where do we start? Oh yeah- the beginning. That would be as good a place as any.

I've always had a bit of a fetish for old Volvos. I love the practicality of them, the ruggedness and the Swedish style. Trouble is that here in the UK we never got the Turbo version that the rest of the world got (we never got the 242 either, but that's another sore point altogether) so we were stuck with low powered but dependable transport. All well and good, but hardly exciting.

In an attempt to make these classic barges a bit more interesting many owners are now converting their cars to turbocharged, usually using a donor 940 turbo and swapping everything over. This has become such a popular swap that there is going to be a time in the near future where 940 turbos are a rarer than 240 turbos!

This conversion is roughly what I originally planned, but things have a habit of escalating with me and, after a bit of time preparing a T5 engine and Holset turbo to fit in the car I decided that the hassle and expense of getting a reliable RWD transmission into the car just weren't worth it, and asked around if anyone had a V8 they wanted to sell me for cheap, expecting a Yank V8 to be the eventual outcome.

However, a friend of mine, Ryan, offered me this Jag engine and ancilliaries in a deal I couldn't refuse, and so the project was born.

Ryan- you sir, are a bloody legend!
